Position : Production Team Leader

Location : Caerphilly

Salary : £34,500

Our client based in the Caerphilly area are currently seeking a Production Team Leader to join their busy manufacturing site on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of machinery involved in the production.

Job Overview
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain machinery in a leading food manufacturing environment specialising in chilled, high-volume production to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations.
  • Set up and adjust machinery (mixers, cooling towers, packaging lines) using PLC and manual controls to meet product specifications.
  • Conduct routine checks to optimise machine performance, yields, and product consistency.
  • Monitor product quality, including texture, temperature, appearance, and consistency, and record production and batch data accurately.
  • Collect samples for laboratory testing and report any faults or inconsistencies to the Production Manager.
  • Perform routine cleaning, support troubleshooting activities, and liaise with the maintenance and production teams when required.
  • Follow strict hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, BRC, GMP) and ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
