Wienerberger Ltd is seeking a Production Team Leader for the Broomfleet site near Gilberdyke, close to Brough. You will lead a small team in a practical, hands-on role, setting priorities to maximise production efficiency and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.

The role includes promoting Lean thinking, monitoring quality, inducting new starters, and collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality roof tiles and building materials.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role.
• Experience in a high production environment (auto, FMCG, food).
• Solid health & safety knowledge and continuous improvement exposure.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Set priorities to maximise production efficiency and promote continuous improvement culture.
• Identify and suggest improvements to manufacturing and quality processes to meet cost-efficient schedules.
• Assist with the installation of new plant equipment.
• Promote Lean thinking and seek ways to improve efficiencies.
• Carry out factory inspections and support production operatives.
• Monitor quality from raw materials to finished goods.
• Induct and train new starters efficiently.

About the Role

As a Production Team Leader at our Broomfleet site, you will lead and motivate a small team through a practical and hands on approach.

Duties include:

• Setting priorities to maximise production efficiency and promote working practices that develops a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and open communication
• Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality process to ensure agreed cost efficient production schedules
• Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
• Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
• Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel
• Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods
• Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained

This position is based at ourBroomfleetsite, which is nearGilberdykeand is easily commutable from Goole, Market Weighton,Hessle,and Brough.

Hours of Work:

2 days; 07.00am to 19.00pm and 2 nights; 19.00pm to 07.00am on 4 on, 4 off shift-pattern

About You

Essential

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a safety-first culture is essential
• At least a year’s leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar
• Experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries
• Good exposure to health & safety standards, continuous improvement methods and environmental best practice
• IT skills – working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
• Strong organisational & planning abilities
• Mechanical maintenance qualifications are desirable

About our Benefits

• Weekly paid
• Basic rate: £13.25 - £16.23 per hour (based on experience)
• Team Leader Allowance: £100 per week
• Additional annual allowances: £12,500
• Based on your working hours, and any eligible allowances and bonuses, your annual earnings will be approximately £47,000 to £53,650 (depending on experience)
