Overview

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor or looking for that step up in your career? If so my client is looking for someone with your skills. They are a leading manufacturer of rotating equipment. Their ideal candidate will have previous experience of supervising the assembly and test of a wide range of pumps with a technical aptitude for mechanical systems and pump technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily assembly and testing.
  • Allocate resources, schedule workloads, and monitor production progress against targets.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team.
  • Assist performance reviews, coaching, and support training initiatives.
  • Champion lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
  • Track and report production performance against key metrics.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to meet or exceed KPIs.
Qualifications
  • Qualified to a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline or with suitable technical experience gained from a previous role.
  • Experience in a supervisory manufacturing environment, preferably within heavy engineering, rotating equipment, pumps or precision components.
  • Proven experience in machining, assembly, and testing processes for mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Proven problem solving and decision making.
  • Confident in production planning, ERP/MRP systems.
