Production supervisor required - Do you have proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment in a supervisory or leadership role?

If so then please read on!

The basics:

Location: near Ashover - Chesterfield

Salary: £47093 inclusive of shift premium + Bonus and Overtime = £52000 and upwards.

Bonus: From 6 months onwards = up to 10% of salary, up to £300 production bonus per quarter, up to £60 health and safety bonus per quarter and up to £1500 per annum additional bonus.

Overtime rates: x1.5 Mon-Sat and x2 Sunday

Hours: 2 days 2 nights 4 off working a 6-6 pattern, every 7 rotations you have 18 days off. 5 lots of 18days off annually / 90 days off. (x2 1hr breaks when on shift)

Benefits: up to 10% pension contribution, x3 salary death in service, Canteen, Uniform, Bonus.

Structure: supported by assistant team leaders with 9 reports, you will work closely with the Shift Manager.

Environment: Manufacturing - Furnaces/Heavy industry

Overview:

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead and supervise a production team on your assigned shift, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong manufacturing experience, team management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and coaching.

Overview of responsibilities:

- Lead, coach, and support a team of production operators and technicians.

- Ensure production targets (output, quality, efficiency) are consistently achieved.

- Monitor shift performance and address any operational issues promptly.

- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.

- Conduct shift handovers and ensure clear communication across teams.

- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.

- Ensure accurate completion of shift reports, production records, and KPI tracking.

- Support onboarding and training of new team members.

The ideal candidate Production Supervisor may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

-Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.

-Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards

-Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

-Must be comfortable wearing full PPE - very health and safety conscious environment being heavy engineering/large furnace machinery.

Commutable from: Darley Dale, Matlock, Ashover, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Buxton and surrounding areas.
