We are now looking for a Production Scheduling Analyst to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our production schedules, inventory planning and operational activities are coordinated effectively to support customer demand and business performance.
The role
As a Production Scheduling Analyst, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate production schedules, analysing demand and capacity, and working closely with operational teams to ensure production plans are achieved efficiently. You’ll act as a key link between planning, manufacturing and supply chain functions, helping to optimise resources and maintain service levels.
What you’ll be doing
- Create, maintain and manage daily production schedules and medium-term production plans
- Review forecasts, material usage, production volumes and operational performance data
- Analyse production capacity and utilisation to support efficient planning decisions
- Monitor inventory levels and demand requirements, developing replenishment plans to minimise stock issues
- Support material transfers and external outsourcing activities where required
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure finished goods requirements are achieved
- Adjust schedules to respond to changing priorities, operational challenges and customer requirements
- Ensure incoming materials and shipments align with purchase order requirements
- Produce reports and planning information to support operational decision making
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and other departments to ensure effective communication and delivery of business objectives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced planning performance
What do we want from you?
- Previous experience within production planning, scheduling, supply chain, inventory control or a similar manufacturing role
- Ideally educated to Associate Degree level or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyse data and make informed planning decisions
- A team-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
