Job description
  • Position: Production Planning Manager
  • Salary: £35,000 per year plus very good company benefits along with the possibility of career progression within the business. 24 days holiday plus bank holidays and good pension scheme, healthcare insurance/healthcare cash plan
  • Location: Edenbridge, Kent
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:30
  • Role based in Edenbridge. There is plenty of free parking on site available for all staff , along with charging points for electric vehicles – workplace based close to Edenbridge station.

This role is full time (Monday-Friday) and offers an excellent opportunity to join a very established and reputable company. There is parking available on site and my client is based close to Edenbridge station.

Role – Production Planning Manager

My client is looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual to join their friendly team. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage sales & orders from customers, managing the planning, production, and production team, to ensure a successful service to their customers.

This role will provide the training and opportunity for progression and potential promotion to Department Manager, which will include overall management of the Office & Digital Operation within the business.

Duties will include:
  • Oversee the daily management of the sales orders, planning & production, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and team collaboration.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company regulations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
  • Provide the Business Manager with the daily/weekly financial and productivity reports.
  • Manage and develop production schedules to meet customer deadlines efficiently.
  • Determine material, equipment, and labour requirements, ensuring resources are optimised.
  • Ordering consumables and maintain stock control.
  • Manage and resolve production issues to minimise any disruptions.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure product standards are consistently met.
  • Liaising with the Account Managers & Sales Teams
  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and machine manufacturers as required.
Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferable.
  • Previous experience in Print or Packaging – ideally managing a production plan for digital or litho printing.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
