Overview

Our client, based in Long Eaton, are looking for a Production Planning Assistant to join their team. They are ideally looking for someone who has experience working for a manufacturing company, ideally in a planning or similar role. The planning part of the job is primarily based on SAP, although experience on this is not essential, but you must be IT literate and analytical. This is a dual role where you will also be the go to IT person on site, liaising with external IT Support providers.

Permanent role. Salary: £27,000 - £30,000.

Responsibilities

• Issuing priority lists regularly to all production areas including Turning, Milling, Fab, Sheet, Clean up, Paint etc.
• Update company performance dashboard weekly.
• Provide cover and support to the Planner including SAP project work.
• Printing drawings and route cards.
• First point of contact for internal Technical Assistance.
• Liaising with external stakeholders regarding IT network support, SAP support and SAP development.
• Initial internal onsite IT support, with telephone issues escalating to relevant organisations where required.

The Person

• Experience in a similar role for a manufacturing company is preferred.
• IT literate and eager to learn more.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
