Production Planner

Location: Canterbury

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive Production Planner to join our team in Canterbury. You'll manage the day-to-day operations of the planning department, ensuring customer orders are processed on time, stock is allocated correctly, and compliance with internal procedures and health & safety regulations is maintained. You will also support production departments and foster strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer orders efficiently
  • Allocate stock according to specifications and internal rules
  • Support production teams (PH, QC, Despatch) with order and stock information
  • Complete daily tasks assigned by the Account Manager
  • Communicate potential issues with order completion to the Account Manager
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Optimise stock usage to achieve the best financial results
  • Maximise production efficiency through grading and packing line coordination
  • Ensure proper stock rotation across all departments
Skills & Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent numeracy, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • A team player with good relationship-building skills
  • Previous experience in production planning (desirable)
Working Hours & Pay Rates

Working Hours: 5 days a week, 10‑12 hours per day

Start Times: 6:30 am for early shifts; during peak season, a second shift may be in place with start times between 10 am‑12 pm (subject to production needs)

Weekend Availability: Required

Pay Rates
  • Level 1: £12.94 per hour, overtime £16.18
  • Level 2: £14.19 per hour, overtime £17.74
  • Level 3: £15.18 per hour, overtime £18.98
