The Opportunity:

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Production Planner Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual to manage the end-to-end supply chain for a fast-paced food production environment.

Position: Full Time, Permanent.

Salary: £35,000 + KPI's

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 5:30

Location: Manchester (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align ingredient supply and demand forecasts with production and commercial strategies to ensure seamless operations.
  • Effectively manage procurement and stock levels of raw materials to support multiple fast-paced food production lines.
  • Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization.
  • Coordinate weekly national and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
  • Monitor and manage transport costs to optimize logistics expenses.
  • Oversee stock levels of raw materials in third-party warehouses, balancing inventory needs with cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stock controllers and runners to facilitate smooth production preparation.
  • Plan daily production volumes, considering operational limitations and customer demand provided by the demand planner.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the Group.

Person Specification:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience in supply and demand forecasting with a strong understanding of ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize procurement and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and drive continuous improvement.
