Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Production Planner to join a busy production team in Stockport. The role involves developing route cards for manufacturing, ensuring timely documentation, and collaborating with various departments. Ideal candidates will have ERP/MRP experience, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. The position offers a full-time schedule of 39 hours per week.

  • Assist the Production Scheduler with work centre loading.
  • Provide support to the Sales Department for accurate quotations.

Role

Production Planner

Role Requirements

The role will be joining a busy production team creating and managing job card routings and allocations to various levels of manufacture.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop route cards to ensure the most economic and efficient methods of manufacture, liaising with the programming department.

Ensure all documentation is issued to the shop floor in a timely manner via work‑to lists.

Work in conjunction with Stores / Goods Inwards to ensure all materials and Kits are available for manufacture & Assembly.

Control all rework operations as a result of NCR’s, modifying route sheets if required.

Participate in Pre‑production Meetings to determine optimal manufacturing methods.

Assist the Production Scheduler to ensure each work centre is effectively loaded.

Provide advice and assistance to the Sales Department to enable quotations to be accurate in terms of cost and lead time.

Fully IT proficient in typically used applications to both manage information and present to the business and customers.

Hours

39 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 08 : 00 - 16 : 30 and Friday 08 : 00 - 15 : 30)
