Production Planner
Location: Newcastle under Lyme
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE
Sector: Manufacturing / Production

Are you an organised individual who enjoys turning plans into action? We’re looking for a Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturing company where you’ll play a key role in keeping production on schedule and running efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing or production planning who takes pride in accuracy, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production capacity across fabrication, galvanising, and powder coating to meet deadlines.
  • Support and conduct time studies to ensure planning data remains up to date.
  • Schedule and update works orders accurately within the MRP system.
  • Prepare and issue production plans while monitoring progress through each stage.
  • Help maintain stock levels above minimum requirements.
  • Regularly review production and sales orders to keep plans current and achievable.
  • Arrange and oversee subcontract finishing processes such as galvanising or tantalising.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams to keep everyone informed of production timelines.
  • Provide completion updates to departments such as Customer Service and Installations.
About You
  • Previous experience in production or manufacturing planning/scheduling.
  • Confident IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (training provided on ERP/MRP systems).
  • A solid understanding of production operations and workflows.
  • Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and great communication skills.
