Production Planner - 12 Month Fixed Term (Potential Permanent) - Carlisle

Adecco are recruiting on behalf of our brilliant client in Carlisle for a Production Planner. This is initially a 12 month fixed term role due to increased project demand, with strong potential to become permanent.

As a Production Planner you will manage the manufacturing process, from creating production schedules to ensuring assemblies are completed and returned to stock.

Hours: 8.00 - 16.30, 40 hours per week, flexible start and finish times
Salary: £36,720
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain production schedules with input from Production Management
  • Generate and issue shop orders in the ERP system
  • Monitor progress and update schedules as required
  • Ensure assemblies are completed on time and returned to stock
Experience and Skills
  • Proven production planning experience in a manufacturing MRP/ERP environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material and change orders
  • Strong computer skills including MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Oracle experience is a plus
  • Understanding of shop floor control, material flow, production reporting and inventory management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, assembly sequences, and basic mechanical concepts
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
