Job summary

A leading supply chain company is seeking a Mill Planner to oversee the production schedules and raw material orders for their diaper business. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or Operations. This fully remote role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP is preferred. This position is contract-based until August 2026, with a start date of January 5th.

Overview

The Mill Planner is responsible for creating and managing production schedules, raw material orders, and deployment movements for the diapers business. This role requires close coordination with production sites to ensure schedules are feasible and meet both customer service and cost objectives.

Contract Details
  • Pay : £17.17 per hour (PAYE)
  • Location : Fully remote
  • Contract Duration : Until end of August 2026
  • Start Date : 5th January (Required)
Key Responsibilities
  • Issue production schedules that optimize utilization of machines (assets), materials, and storage capacity.
  • Place raw material orders with vendors to ensure timely availability for production.
  • Ensure purchased finished goods orders from external vendors align with customer service objectives.
  • Coordinate transfer of finished products from production sites to mixing centers to meet demand.
  • Execute regional production, raw material, and deployment changes within the tactical (0–4 week) horizon.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in SAP, updating as needed for material / product changes.
  • Drive completion of special projects related to supply planning.
  • Provide on-call support for production sites.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Operations at site or staff level.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize resources and analyze alternatives for effective decision-making.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to build trust with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP.
