gap personnel are an employment agency and have been supporting their client with Production Operators for many years.

As they are getting busier, they are now looking to recruit a Production Operator with Soldering experience

Duties
  • You will be involved with precise component placement
  • Quality control of solder joints,
  • Involved in general production duties like mechanical assembly and packing
  • Operate and maintain manual soldering tools (like soldering irons) and automated machines (like wave or selective solder machines).
  • Precisely solder components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other assemblies.
  • Visually inspect finished solder joints and assembled products for defects like bridges, cold joints, or insufficient solder.
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions
Skills
  • Set up, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve soldering-related issues, adjusting machine parameters as needed.
  • Clean parts, equipment, and soldering tips

Hours of work are Mon‑Thur 8am‑5pm with an early finish on Fridays

This role is temporary with a possibility of going permanent
