Job summary

Sibelco in Sheffield is seeking an Operator to ensure installations perform according to procedures and policies, and to monitor the production line to guarantee delivery of a (semi-)finished product that meets specifications.

You'll handle pumps, taps, alerts, and carry out quality checks while coordinating with maintenance and weighbridge teams. A lower degree and prior experience in a similar role are required, with technical English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Technical English – Read and comprehend procedures.
• Experience in a similar role within industrial production environments.
• Willingness to perform maintenance and cooperate with maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Handle and adjust the installations according to procedures and policies.
• Serves pumps, open and close taps, etc.
• Fixes alerts and performs multiple quality checks on products.
• Identify non-conformities and address colleagues to ensure qualitative products.
• Control production output and carry out auxiliary tasks per supervisor directions.
• Assist maintenance technicians and electricians in larger maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with weighbridge and bagging operators to ensure continuous production.
• Input production data into the required IT system.
• Follow safety policy and take responsibility for PPE.
