Production Operator - Rotating Days and Nights

We're looking for a motivated and reliable Production Operator to join our Mould Department. In this hands‑on role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring plant machinery to ensure effective and efficient production in line with company specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate plant equipment to optimum levels to meet production requirements and quality guidelines.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, which may vary for each production line.
  • Carry out regular quality control tests (e.g. metal detection, sieve checks, liner checks, weight and size checks) and record results accurately.
  • Conduct visual inspections and adjust equipment as needed to maintain standards.
  • Perform changeovers following Quality Procedures, ensuring plant cleanliness, correct temperature control, and proper setup of packaging automation.
  • Maintain good hygiene and GMP standards, following a "clean as you go" approach.
  • Assist other team members and support cross‑line training as required.
  • Safely transfer liquids, set up flavouring hoppers, and operate automation and robotic systems.
  • Print packaging and finished goods labels when required.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and report any issues immediately.
  • Support production continuity by covering for colleagues during breaks, holidays, or training.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks to ensure smooth and effective production.

Shift Pattern

This is a rotating 12‑hour shift pattern, alternating between day and night shifts across a four‑week cycle:

  • Week 1:
    • Mon: Rest
    • Tue: Rest
    • Wed‑Thu: Night (18:45 – 06:45)
    • Fri‑Sun: Rest
  • Week 2:
    • Mon‑Tue: Day (06:45 – 18:45)
    • Wed‑Thu: Rest
    • Fri‑Sun: Night (18:45 – 06:45)
  • Week 3:
    • Mon‑Tue: Rest
    • Wed‑Thu: Day (06:45 – 18:45)
    • Fri‑Sun: Rest
  • Week 4:
    • Mon‑Tue: Night (18:45 – 06:45)
    • Wed‑Thu: Rest
    • Fri‑Sun: Day (06:45 – 18:45)

In return the successful candidate will receive a competitive pay rate between £14.00 – £22.00 per hour.
