Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Manufacturing Operator I for a 6-month contract, with potential for permanent employment, located in Paisley Area, Renfrewshire. The role offers a full-time 37.5 hour week in rotating shifts and a pay rate of £16.50 per hour.

Immediate start and comprehensive training are provided in a cleanroom medical manufacturing environment. Applicants should have manufacturing/production experience, be able to follow SOPs, and show strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble tubing, connectors, and related medical products to specification.
• Manufacture products in accordance with SOPs and drawings.
• Read and interpret production documents, work instructions and blueprints.
• Use measuring tools to ensure customer requirements.
• Complete accurate production and quality documentation in line with GMP.
• Conduct visual inspections on in-process and finished products.
• Maintain safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
• Work with colleagues to achieve production targets.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Operator to join a leading global organisation within the medical manufacturing sector. Working within a clean room production environment, you will play a key role in assembling products used across the healthcare industry while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

This role would suit candidates with previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or process industry experience who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble tubing, connectors, and related medical products to specification.
• Manufacture products in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical drawings.
• Read and interpret production documents, work instructions, and blueprints.
• Use measuring tools to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Complete accurate production and quality documentation in line with GMP standards.
• Conduct visual inspections on in-process and finished products.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Education

Secondary education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent qualification

Working Environment

This position is based within a controlled cleanroom environment where strict hygiene and safety standards apply.

Candidates must be comfortable

• Wearing cleanroom PPE including gloves, hair/beard coverings, face coverings, and safety glasses.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Carrying out repetitive assembly work.
• Bending, reaching, stooping, and moving throughout the shift.
• Occasionally lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs (approximately 23kg).
• Working additional overtime when required.

6:00am - 2:00pm

Monday to Friday

2:00pm - 10:00pm

Night Shift

Sunday to Friday

10:00pm - 6:00am
