A leading manufacturing firm in Dromore is seeking Production Operatives to join their expanding team. Responsibilities include various production activities, maintaining quality standards, and operating machinery. Ideal candidates will have some experience in production and teamwork. Full training will be provided. The position involves continental shifts over two weeks, including both day and night shifts.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrating high levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • Previous experience in a production orientated environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a team.

  • Ensure orders are met on time.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the production.

Job description

Our client, a leading manufacture of bailing twine is looking a number of Production Operatives to join their expanding team. To carry out a variety of activities within the production process.

Responsibilities
  • To carry out a variety of activities within the production process.
  • Enabling production requirements to be met in the most effective and efficient manner and ensuring orders are met on time.
  • Work within the internal quality system ensuring that a high standard of production is maintained through to finished product stage.
  • Maintain quality records where required and carry out regular inspection duties. Report all deficiencies to the production supervisors.
  • Operating the machinery lines.
  • Carry out routine operational checks and undertake any basic maintenance on machinery within the guidelines of the supervisor.
  • Monitoring the operation of automatic and semi-automatic machines involved in the manufacturing process.
  • Packing finished goods in appropriate storage containers and ensuring goods are properly weighed, labelled, packaged and stored.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrating high levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • Previous experience in a production orientated environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a team.
  • Engineering / plastics sector experience would be an advantage.
  • Above criteria are only desirable and not essential as full training will be given.
Further Information

Work time: Continental 12 hour shifts over 2 weeks 7 day shifts 7 night shifts.
