Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operator to join our team within our Added Value Department at our Carlisle mill. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of duties across the Department, working within a team and individually.

  • Manual handling of timber.
  • Operating semi-automated machine centres.
  • Working towards set production targets.
  • Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.

Ideally, we're seeking motivated individuals who are quality focused and understand the value of the goods they are producing. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. In addition, you will have:

  • Good computer, numeracy, and literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A self-motivated and can-do attitude.
  • Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
  • Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous.
