ABOUT THE ROLE

The main role of the Production Operator is to assist in the cutting room, customising stoma supplies, to fulfil customer orders in a timely and accurate manner to meet quality standards and achieve the Service Level Agreement and departmental KPIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Product customisation – customising stoma pouches and supplies using sophisticated machinery and from time‑to‑time hand‑customising of stoma pouches.
  • Customising stoma pouches in accordance with patient requests.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and templates.
  • Report all cutting quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Warehouse duties: ensure working areas are kept clean and tidy; ensure stock is rotated; maintain all documentation correctly; assist with other duties as required.
  • Ensure all orders are customised and packed accurately.
  • Ensure the working area is always well maintained.
  • Ensure all functions meet the Company ISO Quality Standards.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
  • Demonstrates competency in English and Maths.
  • Computer experience.
  • Experience of production environment(s).
  • Ability to write clear and concise English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
  • Flexible and proactive.
Desirable
  • Conscientious and able to act proactively and with limited direct supervision.
  • Experience of warehouse environments.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal: Team of 35+ working at the Cardiff Warehouse.
  • Work closely with other internal departments to ensure a quality service is maintained.
  • External: Meeting and communicating with couriers acting on behalf of the business, plus any other visitors to the Cardiff DC site.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Hours of Work: 37.5 hours between 09:00am – 17:00pm Monday to Friday with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break. Additional hours may be required to meet business need.
