Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a Temporary Production Operative in the North Norfolk area for a fast-paced food production environment. The role involves packing desserts, quality control, and maintaining a hygienic workspace. Although previous experience in food production is desirable, training will be provided. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Temporary Production Operative – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (North Norfolk Area)

Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join our team based in the North Norfolk area. This is a temporary role working in a fast‑paced food production environment. Own transport is essential due to the site’s location.

Please note, we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK at the time of application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Packing: Pack desserts and puddings into boxes or sleeves and ensure they pass through metal detectors. Assemble products by hand as required.
  • Weighing, Labeling & Packing: Accurately weigh, label, and pack finished products in a timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality, reporting any defects or inconsistencies to team leaders.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe working environment by following strict food hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with the team to meet daily production targets.
  • Other Duties: Be flexible and assist with other tasks as needed in the production process.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in food production or packing is desirable but not essential (training will be provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment (typically 2–5°C).
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety (training provided).
  • Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and carry out repetitive tasks.

Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
