Job description

£14.73 per hour | Paid breaks | Monday-Thursday | No weekends

Great hourly pay. Four nights a week. Every weekend free.

Looking for a night-shift role that gives you a consistent working pattern and your weekends back?

We're recruiting reliable and motivated Production Operatives to join our manufacturing team.

Earn £14.73 per hour, with paid breaks, working a regular four-night pattern from 6pm to 6am, Monday to Thursday. That's an annual equivalent of approximately £36,500, based on 48 paid hours per week over 52 weeks.

With no Saturday or Sunday shifts, you'll have every weekend free to spend time with family and friends, enjoy your interests or simply recharge.

You'll play an important role in keeping our production lines running efficiently, ensuring our products are manufactured safely and meet the required standards of quality, hygiene and food safety.

What will you be doing?

As a Production Operative, you'll help keep our production operation running safely, efficiently and to plan. Working alongside your Line Leader and colleagues, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating production machinery and carrying out assigned production tasks efficiently.
  • Maintaining product quality and protecting food safety at every stage of production.
  • Following work instructions, safe systems of work and established production procedures.
  • Supporting line changeovers, material flow and hygiene activities to minimise downtime.
  • Carrying out required quality checks and critical control checks accurately.
  • Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised, following our "clean as you go" approach.
  • Helping to reduce waste, downtime and unnecessary use of materials.
  • Working towards production, quality, safety and productivity targets.
  • Communicating issues promptly to your Line Leader and helping identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure production runs smoothly and consistently.
What are we looking for?

You don't need to know everything from day one, but you'll need a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a commitment to doing things properly.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a factory, production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Can follow instructions, procedures and established standards.
  • Understands the importance of health and safety, hygiene and product quality.
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues.
  • Can use their own initiative and remain calm when things get busy.
  • Takes pride in their work and looks for ways to minimise waste and improve efficiency.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • GCSE-level education or equivalent is desirable.
