Location: Aylesford, Maidstone, Kent
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £11.96 per hour

Our client, a leading manufacturer of bespoke products, is seeking Production Operatives to join their team in Aylesford, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth and success, with a focus on manufacturing excellence and delivering bespoke solutions.

Position Overview

As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality items. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will carry out various production tasks under the guidance of your Supervisor or Chargehand, helping the company meet quality standards and output targets.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform daily production tasks such as operating machinery, assembly, and final assembly.
  2. Read and understand work instructions to ensure output complies with specifications.
  3. Adhere to manufacturing procedures and meet quality and output targets.
  4. Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  5. Demonstrate flexibility in duties within the department and across production areas.
  6. Follow Health & Safety and company rules to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Support colleagues across departments as needed.
  8. Perform general factory tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing or a busy production environment (desirable).
  • Physically fit and able to handle heavy items.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Calm, focused, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage changing workloads effectively.
  • Flexible and positive attitude, especially during peak seasons.

Salary: £11.96 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 with paid breaks
