Job description

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment have been given the exciting opportunity to recruit for a production operative for a well known manufacturer in the NG8 area of Nottingham.

As a production operative you can expect your day to be varied and challenging so it does require somebody who is dedicated, and willing to learn new skills.

You will be operating machines, learning production processes, providing support to other members of the team and eventually be given the freedom to run your own machine and demonstrate your ability to learn and develop to look for the next step.

This role will require candidates to

• Machine mind and be good at paying attention as this role will involve a lot of quality checks along the production process.
• Comfortable working with small items, candidate must be nimble fingered.
• Happy to work alone or in a small team

What we need from you

• Excellent timekeeping and attendance record
• People who are committed to learning on the job and want a temporary ongoing/temporary to permanent placement
• To be physically fit as this role will involve a lot of manual handling
• Ideally have experience within a similar production environment and ideally have machine operative experience
