Job summary

Randstad invites applications for a Production Operative at Inchinnan Business Park, Paisley. The role is 6 months, on-site, with a rotating 37.5-hour week and a pay rate of £13.20 per hour plus a 25% shift allowance.

Full training provided; suitable for school leavers or those with experience. You will work in a cell culture media manufacturing environment, following strict safety and gowning procedures. Eligible to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily requirements for manufacture of cell culture media and reagents are met.
• Support site manufacturing processes and maintain machine efficiency to meet schedules.
• Work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with team leaders, supervisors and other departments to uphold quality and service.
• Perform manual handling tasks and stand for long periods.
• Follow gowning requirements for graded/non-graded areas.
• Complete pre- and post-shift activities including PPE usage.

Position Overview

• Role: Production Operative

• Location: Inchinnan Business Park, Paisley

• Contract: 6 months

• Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour plus a 25% shift allowance

• Hours: 37.50 hours per week

• Shift Pattern: Rotating shift pattern that changes weekly: early shift (6:00 - 14:00), nightshift (22:00 - 06:00), and backshift (14:00 - 22:00)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the daily requirements for the manufacture of cell culture media and reagents are consistently met

• Providing crucial support to site manufacturing processes and ensuring the overall efficiency of machines to support schedule attainment

• Working safely alongside chemicals and hazardous materials

• Collaborating independently with team leaders, supervisors, and other departments to uphold quality, service, and customer satisfaction

• Performing manual handling tasks that may be repetitive, which includes standing for long periods of time

• Following strict gowning requirements for different graded and non-graded areas

• Completing required pre- and post-shift activities, including washing hands, gowning up and down, and wearing provided PPE such as overalls, safety glasses, and safety boots

What We Are Looking For

• Candidates must possess a National 5 or better in Standard Grade Maths and English, although relevant work experience is considered a suitable alternative

• Individuals must embrace a high-paced working environment and show a genuine passion for the industry

• Candidates should be driven to continuously improve and engage in team initiatives to make things better

• Full training will be provided to successful candidates
