Production Operative

Permanent

Huddersfield / Brighouse Area

£12.91 per hour

Day Shift 6am to 2pm Early Friday finish

Due to on-going growth, our client, a large manufacturing business are looking to recruit a number of well-versed production operatives to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Role

Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues / faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.

Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times.

Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.

Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

You will….
  • Adhere to correct procedures
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time
  • Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
  • To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given
  • Ensure adherence to 5S in the department
  • Transfer to other areas of the department as and when requested
  • Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition. Report any major maintenance issues immediately
  • Responsibility to ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work
  • Ensuring compliance with the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policies.
  • Ensure all PPE is worn at all times where applicable.
  • Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition
  • The Extrusion of PTFE and / or other materials
  • Work is mainly manual handling, some of which is heavy.
To be successful in this role, the right production operative will need to be :
  • Safety minded
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to work to high quality standards
  • Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
  • Ability and willingness to perform manual work
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Raise H&S concerns when applicable or when required on rota.
  • Experience within a manufacturing role

Your hours will be…

Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm

Friday 6am to 11.30m - early Friday finish.

35 days holiday and whole raft of other benefits.

You will be paid £12.91 per hour.
