Job description

Overview

Production Operator. Location: Dewsbury, WF12. Duration: Permanent. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 3:30pm; Fri 6am - 2:30pm. Salary: £12.21 - £15.54 basic plus O/T rates.

Gi Group are looking for motivated production operators / machine setters on behalf of our client, a trusted building products and solutions provider. As a production operator, you be hands on and proactive, assisting your team in manufacturing of concrete products for the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Measuring and setting up moulds according to specification
• Inserting steel into the machine for pre-stressing
• Pouring concrete into the mould over the stressed steel
• Taking out the structure out of the moulds
• Quality inspecting, measuring the finished product
• Cleaning out the area for next batch
• Using tools, such as saws when needed to cut hard materials

The role will include indoor and outdoor work in both warm and cold weather, with specific PPE (masks, gloves, goggles, helmets, long sleeve Hi Viz tops, Hi Viz trousers). Due to dealing with steel and concrete, manual handling will be involved.
