Job summary

Greencore Leeds is recruiting for a Production Operative to support on the 4 on 4 off rotating shift (7am–7pm and 7pm–7am). You’ll aim to deliver products on time, to the required quantity and quality on a busy production line.

You will set up lines and equipment, carry out scheduled checks, raise issues when needed and help maintain hygiene, quality and cost controls. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and a Food Safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Problem solving and good communication within a team.
Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred; allergen awareness.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor a production line to meet time, quantity and quality targets.
Set up line and equipment and carry out scheduled checks.
Follow SOPs to ensure hygiene, quality and cost controls; raise issues to supervisor as needed.
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices and support the Food Safety culture.

What you'll be doing

In this position you will provide a quality presence on the production line, ensuring scheduled checks are carried out in accordance with quality standards, line set up and equipment set up. Key accountabilities in this role include:

To deliver the product within time, quantity and quality parameters.
To ensure continuous operation of the line through support of all team members.
To comply with all standard operating procedures to ensure customer orders are produced safely, on time, and all aspects of hygiene, quality and cost are met.
To raise issues with Senior Production Operative, when identified.
To ensure Good Manufacturing Practices
Support our Food Safety culture.

What we're looking for
