Overview

Production Operative

£32,200 to £35,000 plus benefits

Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup, preparing the machine for the next production run by setting up the equipment, ensuring it is ready for the next job.
  • Material Handling, by safely loading and securing the appropriate printed materials, onto the machine, ensuring it is ready for operation.
  • Tool Installation, installing and adjusting the necessary cutting tools and components according to job specifications, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Quality Control, thorough quality checks to verify that all components are correctly aligned and that the machine is ready for a flawless production run.
  • Routine cleaning and maintenance tasks for the machinery to ensure proper functioning and minimise downtime.
  • Identify and address any technical issues or malfunctions during the production process, escalating complex problems to Management.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing operation or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to machinery setup processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct any issues that may affect production quality.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Used to working a shift pattern.
Hours of Work

Lates, Earlies, Nights rotation 10-6 Sunday to Thursday / 6-2 / 2-10 Monday to Friday

  • Overtime paid at 1.25 once contractual hours worked - premium increases to 1.5 overtime rate, once 48 hours per week is exceeded
