Responsibilities

• Preparing manufactured components ready for further assembly.
• Mixing and applying adhesives to bond components accurately to specification.
• Following bonding and curing processes, including required timings.
• Working from manufacturing orders and detailed work instructions.
• Following specified assembly sequences and production processes.
• Inspecting completed work throughout different stages of production.
• Identifying and reporting defects or quality issues before components progress further.
• Working closely with the wider production team to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Maintaining high standards of quality within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Completing work accurately and within required production deadlines.

Production Assembly Operative

Location: Hereford
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, between 8:00am and 5:00pm
Contract: Temporary initially until 21st December 2026, with the potential to extend or become permanent
Working Pattern: On-site

Hewett Recruitment is currently looking for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Hereford.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in production, assembly or manufacturing. Previous composite or bonding experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. Candidates with good manual dexterity, a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow processes accurately are also encouraged to apply.

• Working within a quality-managed manufacturing environment
• Manufacturing or engineering qualifications or apprenticeships
