Job summary

Dunbia is seeking a production operative to join our shift-based production team in the United Kingdom. You will support, monitor and meet production requirements, with weekend work expected and flexibility important.

The role involves hands-on handling of materials and dispatch processes in a cold storage environment. You will scan materials, maintain stock rotation, monitor yields, assist with stock takes, prepare orders and assist in logistics while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good written and verbal English.
• Experience of accurate record keeping.
• Strong communication with others.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scan raw materials and finished goods into and out of production areas.
• Follow stock rotation procedures to maintain freshness and compliance.
• Monitor production yields and investigate variances or issues.
• Handle and scan pallets for traceability and inventory control.
• Organise and stack products correctly in chilled storage areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Participate in regular stocktakes to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Select and prepare customer orders according to specifications and quality standards.
• Load products into containers for dispatch, ensuring secure and hygienic transport.
• Verify order accuracy prior to shipment to meet customer expectations.
• Complete clerical and administrative tasks related to product dispatch and logistics.

Working as part of our existing production team, we require a production operative to work within our shifts to support, monitor and meet production requirements and make a positive contribution to the Company's future growth. Production currently operates on a shift pattern which will be discussed further at the screening process – this will require weekend work, so flexibility is important.
