Production Operative (12 Month Fixed Term) – Felixstowe

A GBP 36,051.22 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension (Up to ER 10 / 5 EE) + Life Assurance (4x Salary)

Monday to Friday 05:45 to 14:15 with Future Shift Rota

Responsibilities
  • Production Operative required for a well-established production plant based in Felixstowe. You will be joining a friendly team who are part of a successful, international group offer extensive training opportunities.
  • This role would suit candidates with experience working in manufacturing within industries such as food and drink, engineering, operations etc.
  • The Production Operative will be responsible for controlling the fermentation and related upstream processes. This will include carrying out operational tasks in fermentation, cream loading, and other upstream operations. Full training will be provided.
  • Production Operative Role
  • You will ensure fermentation and culture train plants are maintained fully and on time.
  • Preparing and starting propagation cultures / fermentation bathes, sterilising storage vessels, running separations and keeping records.
  • Cleaning and loading road tankers with approved yeast cream.
  • Check yeast is within specifications which will involve carrying out sampling
  • Initially 12 Month Fixed Term.
  • Starting on days with scope to move onto rotating shifts after approximately 9 months.
Candidate requirements
  • Experience working within manufacturing: food, engineering or similar.
  • Experience with root cause analysis / problem solving.
  • Understanding of HSE.
