Machine Operative

Location Lymington, England

Salary £12.38 per hour (rising based on performance to over £14.00 per hour)

Work Opportunity Weekly rotating pattern: 6am - 2pm (Monday to Thursday) and 6am - 11am (Friday). 2pm - 10pm (Monday to Thursday) and 11am - 4pm (Friday)

Introduction

Due to a steady rise in orders, our client is growing their manufacturing team and looking for several Production/Machine Operators to join them at their site near Lymington. If you're dependable, hands-on, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great opportunity for you. This is a temp-to-perm position, so if things go well (and you show what you're made of), there's a real chance of securing a permanent role.

What will I be doing?
  • Running and monitoring production machinery and equipment
  • Following work instructions to manufacture materials to customer specs
  • Keeping an eye on quality at every step and ensuring the final product meets the mark
  • Recording data like material usage, output, and downtime
  • Carrying out clean-downs and helping maintain equipment
  • Supporting ongoing improvements to help the team work smarter and more efficiently
What do I need to succeed?
  • Solid communication skills and a good grasp of English (reading, writing, and numbers)
  • Someone who's comfortable working to detailed instructions and quality checks
  • A team player who's reliable, safety-minded, and keen to learn
  • Willingness to be trained on extrusion and other machinery
