A local staffing agency is seeking an experienced manufacturing production operative to conduct tests and operate various machinery in the United Kingdom. Responsibilities include testing pneumatic and hydraulic hoses, writing reports, and advising on repairs. This is initially a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing processes and best practice techniques.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to operate various machinery including swaging machines and laser engraving machines.

Job description
Overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced manufacturing production operative for a local client, with understanding and experience of manufacturing processes and best practice techniques, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the possibilty of some work away odd days of the year.

Responsibilities
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic hoses testing
  • Offsite hose testing on customer sites
  • Write reports on outcome of the tests
  • Advise if new hose is required or can be repaired
  • Operate the Laser Engraving Machine to engrave
  • To operate machinery such as swaging machines, hose cutters, shrink wrapping burners, pelleting machines alongside basic power tools
  • Assist in the creation of a safe and efficient working environment by supporting improvement activities
  • Maintain and improve the 5\'s programme
  • Works according to standards and support the optimisation of new work practises setting new standards
  • Assist with all other aspects of the implementation of the Operating System

Initially, this is on a temporary basis, but may become permanent for the right candidate.
