Overview

Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Daventry
Salary: £25,700
Hours: Double Days (Monday to Thursday - 06:00 till 13:45 or 13:30 till 21:15 and Friday - 06:00 till 11:30 or 11:15 till 17:00)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out visual and physical inspections of printed materials for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Identifying and reporting any defects such as misregistration, colour variation, smudging, or incorrect content.
  • Setting up multiple slitter units.
  • Setting up and running a 100% visual inspection unit.
  • Splicing rolls together in line with customer specifications.
What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience working in printing/production or manufacturing environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach.
  • Ability to follow procedures, manuals, and quality standards.
  • Good teamwork skills and a safety-first mindset.
  • Basic computer skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous quality control or print inspection experience.
  • Familiarity with defect detection tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specs, artwork, and production instructions.
