Job summary

A family-run manufacturing business in Crediton is seeking a reliable Production Operative. You will assist in the preparation and packaging of animal nutrition products while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workspace. Ideal candidates are proactive and well-organized, with good numeracy skills and computer confidence. Previous experience is preferred, but training will be provided. The position offers a pay rate of £12.21 per hour for full-time hours over a 12-week contract leading to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Previous production experience is a plus; full training will be provided.
• Willingness to undertake forklift training if necessary.

Job Title: Production Operative

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Hours: Full time, 40 HPW

Contract: 12 weeks temporary to permanent

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative on behalf of a long-established, family-run manufacturing business based in Crediton. This organisation produces a wide range of animal nutrition products and is looking to add a motivated individual to its busy production team.

The Role

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day production activities, including:

• Preparing, manufacturing, and packing animal supplement products
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
• Assisting with general warehousing duties as required
• Carrying out physical tasks, including regular lifting of materials up to 25kg
• Using internal computer systems for labelling, recording, and production-related tasks

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Is proactive and able to identify tasks to support production efficiency
• Is self-motivated with strong organisational skills
• Has good numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
• Is confident using computers
• Ideally has previous production experience (full training will be provided)
• Holds a forklift licence (or is willing to undertake training if required)
