• Competent fixed‑plant operator.
• IOSH qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate the plant SCADA system to achieve production plans and KPIs.
• Coordinate shift resources, prioritise tasks and ensure operational continuity.
• Lead or attend shift meetings in the absence of the Operations Production Supervisor.
• Champion safe working practices and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Complete daily plant checks, defect reporting and production records.
• Support onsite recycling operations, including picking, baling and housekeeping.
• Operate and maintain accurate weighbridge processes.
• Undertake multi-skilled duties including first aid and fire marshalling.

Hours: 40 hours per week (4 on / 4 off days)

Role Overview

The Production Operative is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the plant's SCADA system, overseeing shift performance, managing resources and supporting production targets. You will lead by example on safety compliance, maintain operational standards and deputise for the Operations Production Supervisor when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate the plant SCADA system to achieve production plans and KPIs.
• Coordinate shift resources, prioritise tasks and ensure operational continuity.
• Lead or attend shift meetings in the absence of the Operations Production Supervisor.
• Champion safe working practices, ensuring compliance with procedures such as LOTOTO and TMS.
• Complete daily plant checks, defect reporting and production records.
• Support onsite recycling operations, including picking, baling and housekeeping.
• Operate and maintain accurate weighbridge processes.
• Undertake multi-skilled duties including first aid, fire marshalling and pest control (training provided).
