Job summary

Stonegate Group in Chippenham is seeking a Production Operative to help produce, handle and pack products safely and to quality standards.

You will follow production procedures and controls, including food safety, hygiene, traceability and quality checks, supporting compliance with BRC and customer standards. You’ll join a team-focused environment with shift patterns that include 06:00–18:00 and 4-on-4-off rotations.

Qualifications

• Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
• Available to work a 4-on-4-off shift pattern.
• Shift availability includes 06:00–18:00.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production and packing activities ensuring quality, safety and customer specs.
• Follow production procedures including food safety, hygiene and traceability checks.
• Operate within health & safety and food safety requirements at all times.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic workspace using a 'clean as you go' approach.
• Work with Team Leaders and Supervisors to keep production smooth and efficient.
• Provide support across areas including production set-up, packing and changeovers.
• Identify issues affecting quality, safety or efficiency and report them.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support process improvements.
• Complete other duties as required by team leads or supervisors.

Job description

As a Production Operative, you'll play an important part in ensuring our products are produced, handled and packed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out a range of production and packing activities, ensuring products meet required quality, safety and customer specifications.


• Follow all production procedures and controls, including food safety, hygiene, traceability and quality checks, supporting compliance with BRC and customer standards.


• Operate within relevant Health & Safety and food safety requirements at all times.


• Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic working environment, following our \"clean as you go\" approach and keeping work areas organised and free from hazards.


• Work closely with colleagues, Team Leaders and Supervisors to maintain a smooth and efficient production process.


• Support across different areas of production when required, including production set-up, packing, line changes and product changeovers.


• Identify and report any issues that could affect product quality, food safety, health & safety or production efficiency.


• Contribute to a positive team environment and support opportunities to improve the way we work.


• Complete any other reasonable duties required by Team Leaders, Supervisors or other authorised colleagues to support operational requirements.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:
