Job summary

Gerald McDonald Group in Basildon is seeking a reliable Production Operative to join our Production team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will run and maintain the processing equipment in the Juice Blending area, ensuring that every product leaving the factory meets our quality standards and legal requirements.

You will monitor and maintain ancillary equipment, follow the Company Quality Management System, and liaise with Directors and Managers as needed.

Qualifications

• Follow the Company Quality Management System and ensure products meet specification and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with Directors, Technical Manager and Production Manager as required.
• Maintain housekeeping and a high level of health and safety awareness.
• Operate and maintain juice blending processing equipment and ancillary machinery.
• Be flexible to shift patterns and overtime where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all duties professionally and responsibly as directed by management.
• Carry out warehouse office duties as required.

Production & Machinery

• Monitor and maintain ancillary equipment
• Ensure all processing instructions are carried out correctly

Quality & Standards

• Follow and help progress the Company Quality Management System
• Ensure all products leaving the factory meet specification and legal requirements
• Liaise with the Directors, Technical Manager and Production Manager as required

Health, Safety & Housekeeping

• Carry out good housekeeping practices throughout the factory
• Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness for yourself and your colleagues

General Duties

• Carry out warehouse office duties as required
• Maintain a spirit of co-operation and good working relations with other departments
• Carry out any reasonably appropriate additional tasks requested by management
