Job description

Do you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment?

Are you looking to train and develop in a new industry?

Our client are a leading supplier of aluminium and magnesium castings for the aerospace and defence industries. They are looking for a hard working and conscientious individual to join their team on a long‑term basis.

Responsibilities

• Filling pattern boxes with foundry sand, ensuring an even distribution throughout the mould.
• Quality checking moulds for imperfections, repairing them where possible, and rejecting and remaking those that don't.
• Following foundry techniques to accurately and efficiently assemble moulds and cores ready for the molten metal to be poured.
• Using hand and air tools to remove any rough surfaces from moulds, ensuring casting quality is maintained.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in the operation of hand tools.
• Good attention to detail.

Hours of work

Monday-Thursday (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only). 38 Hours.

Overtime available after successful completion of probation.
