This role is perfect for someone with a background in operational management, looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment. Based in a friendly and supportive setting, you'll be pivotal in ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining high safety standards, and leading a motivated team to success.

As Operations Manager, you'll oversee daily chemical blending, toll manufacturing, and packaging schedules to ensure on-time delivery. Sitting at the heart of the shopfloor, you'll work closely with various departments, managing resources efficiently while cultivating a positive workplace culture. If you thrive in a role that combines strategic planning, leadership, and hands‑on problem‑solving, this could be the perfect next step for your career!

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain high health, safety, and environmental standards across the site, ensuring all operations are compliant.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors and chemical operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify operational bottlenecks; implement lean principles to increase yield and resource efficiency.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage labour, raw materials, and equipment to optimise plant capacity and meet customer demands.
  • Customer & Internal Coordination: Balance customer orders with internal production needs, adjusting schedules for short‑term and long‑term changes.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work with Projects and Maintenance teams to plan downtime with minimal disruption to deliveries.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years of operational management experience in a fast‑paced environment, ideally within manufacturing but not necessarily chemical related.
  • Proficient in all standard IT formats, with valuable knowledge of MRP / ERP systems; SAGE 200 experience is a bonus.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Hands‑on approach, comfortable working in a busy environment, and able to cover site operations regularly.
  • Competitive salary package with room for growth.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Work in a friendly, supportive team environment.
  • Join a company that values safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
