Job summary

Aurora Lifesciences is seeking a Production Manager to own manufacturing performance in a regulated medical device environment. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing daily delivery with long-term improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and ISO 13485 principles.

You will lead production teams, coordinate plans around demand, capacity, labour and equipment, and work with Quality and Engineering to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in production leadership within regulated manufacturing.
  • Experience applying ISO 13485, Lean and Six Sigma in practice.
  • Ability to work with operators, engineers, planners and quality professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop production teams with clear objectives and feedback.
  • Coordinate production plans around demand, capacity, labour, equipment and materials.
  • Use performance data to identify trends and drive improvements in output, yield and cost.
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve flow.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Planning and Quality to resolve issues.
  • Ensure production activities meet ISO 13485, GMP and documentation requirements.
  • Support investigations into non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to process validation, equipment introduction and scale-up.
  • Improve layouts and workflows for safer, more efficient production.
  • Develop training plans to maintain technical competence and progression.
  • Foster a culture of prompt escalation and sustained improvements.
  • Use KPIs to turn insight into practical actions on the floor.
