Production Manager - Food Manufacturing

Weston-super-Mare

£35,000-£42,000+ per annum (depending on experience)

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (daytime hours)

We're working with a fast-growing and purpose-driven food business in Weston-super-Mare to appoint a Production Manager to lead their kitchen and production operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for a team of around 24, including Cooks, Team Leaders, and Production Operatives. You'll be accountable for ensuring that all meals are produced safely, efficiently, and to specification, while meeting production targets and upholding SALSA standards.

You'll drive continuous improvement across quality, efficiency, and cost, playing a key role in scaling production as the business grows. This role offers a genuine opportunity to shape day-to-day operations while remaining close to the product and people.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in food production or food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, quality, and hygiene systems
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • A motivational leadership style with a practical, "muck-in" mindset
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and adapt to a growing production schedule
