Production Manager

Greater Manchester

Salary: Up to c.£50,000

We’re looking for a Production Manager to who can help lead the operational side of the business and drive performance, quality, and efficiency across a fast-paced manufacturing site. You’ll coach teams, implement improvements, and act as a key link between management and operational colleagues.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee production and play a key role in the ongoing success of the business. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing your team to ensure high standards in productivity, quality and safety.
  • Driving continuous improvement activities, encouraging your team to look for more effective ways of working.
  • Overseeing planning and production schedules to meet output and quality targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality systems and supporting audits.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the site (engineering, planning etc) to optimise operational performance.
About You

You’re an experienced operations professional, happy to maintain a ‘hands-on’ presence on the shop floor, with a track record of delivering results through strong leadership and process improvements.

  • Excellent people skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams, ideally in a fast-paced packaging (bottling, canning etc) environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, able to manage change and projects effectively.
  • Knowledge of lean methods and production best practice.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent practical experience desirable.
  • Passionate about safety, quality, efficiency, and colleague engagement.
