In The News in London is seeking a Production Manager to own a growing production operation within the food hospitality sector. This hands-on role focuses on improving capacity, efficiency, systems and processes while coaching a production team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead daily operations, ensure safety and quality, drive continuous improvement and manage equipment, projects and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Production Manager or in a similar food manufacturing role.
  • Strong knowledge of food production, food safety and quality.
  • Experience managing production teams and day-to-day operations.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP and health & safety.
  • Experience delivering production or equipment projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Commercially aware, with understanding of productivity, yield and cost.
  • Confident people leader with ability to coach and develop a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Monitoring productivity, yield, waste, downtime and capacity.
  • Leading food safety, HACCP, hygiene, traceability and quality controls.

  • Identifying opportunities to introduce new technology, equipment and automation.
  • Managing equipment, maintenance, servicing and breakdowns.
  • Leading production trials and supporting new product development.
  • Taking projects from initial idea through to implementation.
  • Working with suppliers, contractors and internal teams to deliver improvements.
  • Planning future capacity as the business continues to expand.
  • Leading, coaching and developing the production team.

Ready to take ownership of a growing production operation? We’re working exclusively with an exciting food and hospitality business that is looking for a Production Manager to take charge of its busy production operation and help shape what comes next. This is a hands-on role with real scope to make an impact across production, people, quality, equipment, processes and continuous improvement.

You’ll be responsible for keeping the operation running smoothly today, while looking ahead at how to improve capacity, efficiency, systems, equipment and processes for tomorrow. It’s a role for someone who enjoys being close to the action, solving problems on the floor, improving ways of working and turning ideas into practical results.

What will you be doing?
