Overview

Currently located in Titchfield, Hampshire, Eaton's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. Our site is undergoing a significant and exciting transformation as we relocate to a newly constructed facility in Daedalus. This state-of-the-art site will serve as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe, marking a new era of innovation and excellence. We pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. We boast extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.

What You'll Do

Responsible for the management of resources within Operations to meet the demands of the business / profit plan. Combining outstanding people skills with strong technical, manufacturing, commercial and business expertise, the successful candidate will lead by example to inspire best practice, using continuous improvement driving towards world-class standards and exceptional customer service.

  • Take overall responsibility for operational cost, product quality and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate projects and production programmes to support divisional and plant objectives, managing improvement initiatives using Eaton tools such as EBS, ELS, EQS, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Oversee capacity planning and manufacturing resource planning; plan, select, appraise and train staff, with a view to continually enhancing organisational capability.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by providing facilities, tools and equipment that comply with legal and Eaton MESH requirements.
  • Develop and monitor value stream and individual goals, objectives and growth to enhance plant performance.
  • Foster an environment, leadership, innovation and workplace culture that supports actions to reduce manufacturing costs and increase factory throughput and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and direction in developing, maintaining and improving processes to meet the needs of all stakeholders: customers, stockholders, employees, suppliers, the environment and the community.
  • Direct expense and capital budgets, administering controls to ensure effective achievement of goals.
  • Maintain high morale across all departments and uphold a work environment that aligns with Eaton Philosophy and Work Practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, management excellence and high ethical standards.
  • Support the development of a operations strategy to achieve manufacturing cost and volume targets.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications

Education — Educated to degree level

  • Multiple years of related professional and leadership experience
Skills
  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
  • Have implemented lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques and have the necessary skills to act as a driver for change.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Be able to demonstrate strategic planning, business acumen, customer and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams
