An established and growing manufacturing business in the Dudley area is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee operations within a modern, high-tech production facility featuring advanced CNC Waterjet, Flatbed Lasers, and CNC Press Brakes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on, technically skilled leader with experience in CAD, programming, quoting, and team management to take ownership of production performance and efficiency. You'll lead a small, dedicated team, driving quality, precision, and on‑time delivery across all manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations across laser cutting and CNC press brake departments.
• Prepare customer quotations, interpret engineering drawings, and complete accurate CAD/CAM programming.
• Manage and develop a team of 6-7 skilled operatives, fostering engagement and accountability.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation.
• Ensure consistent achievement of quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

• Proven experience in a production management or supervisory role within steel fabrication or manufacturing.
• Strong technical background in CAD design and CNC/laser programming.
• Experience preparing customer quotes and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Effective leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Hands‑on approach with a focus on team development and operational excellence.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is beneficial.
