AirX Jet Support is a UK CAA and EASA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on our parent company fleet of CL-600, EMB-135 and ERJ-190 series aircraft. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting for a Production Manager to join our team. The Production Manager will be responsible for the oversight, execution and delivery of all aircraft maintenance and modifications performed under the Part 145 approval according to internal and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will have experience managing large multi-disciplinary teams with the ability to motivate, lead and develop personnel to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is based at the London Stansted Diamond Hangar facility working a rotational 5-5-4 day shift pattern.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage the AirX Jet Support MRO Production team, ensuring that safety, compliance and quality is prioritised and maintained at all times.
  • Oversight of all maintenance & modifications performed under the Part 145 approval.
  • Maintain correct resource levels, ensuring adequate tooling, materials, equipment and qualified personnel are readily available to deliver contracted statements of work.
  • Be responsible for functional execution and integration with customer CAMO and internal programs.
  • Support customer, internal and regulatory audits and ensure non-conformance findings and deficiencies are addressed in timely manner.
  • Ensure the competence of all personnel engaged in aircraft maintenance activities meet AirX Jet Support Part 145 requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, first time quality, technical excellence and product integrity.
  • Identify future training requirements and promotion opportunities for staff to improve organisation capability.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related updates, issues and progress reports to senior management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve turnaround times.
  • Maintain excellent communication and flow-down of information through the MRO Production teams.
  • Recruit, interview and select candidates for hire to meet headcount target for long range business plan.
  • Manage departmental budgets, control overtime and contribute to cost-reduction initiatives within department and reporting line.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations, provide coaching and feedback and foster a positive, high-performance work culture.
  • Chair and attend daily operational meetings and customer reviews.
  • Assist the management team with the day to day running of the London Stansted Base Maintenance Operation.
  • Undertake any other reasonable management duties as required.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a management or leadership position within an Approved Maintenance Organisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Part 145 and Part CAMO regulations.
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Effective problem solver with a solution focused mindset.
  • Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
  • Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in house systems.
Required Qualifications
  • A valid UK CAA and/or EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Type ratings on 2 or more of the following aircraft - CL-600, EMB-135 & ERJ-190 series.
  • A degree related to Aerospace or Aircraft Engineering (desirable).
Additional Requirements
  • Candidates must have legal authorisation and the right to work in the UK.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance and hold an airside ID pass.
