Responsibilities

• Work on various manufacturing operations.
• Use Lapping, Honing and Grinding Machines.
• Conduct precision gauge assembly.
• Operate a laser engraving machine.
• Inspect products using comparators and gauge blocks.

Skills

Production Machinist - Hatfield, Doncaster DN7 (Easy commute from Thorne, Rotherham, Sheffield, Scunthorpe)

Ash Consulting are working with a well-established precision engineering company serving the needs of varied sectors across the UK, Europe and worldwide markets. Reporting to the Works Manager this role will involve being fully trained on various Lapping/Honing and Grinding Machines to assist various departments when needed.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of manufacturing operations
• Use Lapping, Honing and Grinding Machines
• Precision Gauge Assembly
• Use a Laser Engraving Machine
• Use Comparators with gauge blocks for product inspection

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to use/interpret engineering drawings and measuring equipment
• Experience in using production line and/or CNC machinery
• Basic Engineering knowledge
• Ideally Apprentice Trained would be preferable
• Excellent work ethic, job stability and good time keeping
