Todd Hayes Ltd is seeking a capable Production Line Leader in Great Yarmouth to oversee a production team in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on delivering batches on time, maintaining quality, and ensuring safety.

You will manage line operators, drive improvements, and coordinate with support teams to optimize performance. The position is permanent and based on site with a shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive a team of Production Operators to meet schedules and quality targets.

• Support new product introductions and packaging improvements.
• Ensure safe and effective working practices and proper training.
• Organize and manage line operations and address equipment issues.
• Communicate line performance and fixes in daily meetings and reports.
• Coordinate with quality and engineering support when required.
• Monitor direct reports and manage disciplinary actions where needed.

Production Line Leader

Our client a successful and dynamic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company, based in Great Yarmouth is currently seeking a Production Line Leader to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position, located in Great Yarmouth.

Hours:

Week one

• Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm
• Friday 6am to 1pm

Week two

• Monday to Thursday 1.45pm to 10pm
• Friday 12.45pm to 6.45pm

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• A strong background in leadership, ideally working in pharmaceutical or another regulated production environment with associated level of documentation.
• A dynamic, self-motivated individual with a proactive 'can do' approach.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Be a competent computer user (e.g. Office 365 and local systems).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Resourceful with a high aptitude for problem solving and decision making.
• Have a high attention to detail and be competent with documentation.

The Line Leader will work as part of a professional team within a clean manufacturing environment where the highest quality standards are observed, leading a team of Production Operators, to deliver batches of the correct quality and in adherence to the Production plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and drive a team of Production Operators to ensure batches are produced on time, to the required quality standards and in accordance with relevant company procedures.
• Inspire and motivate to achieve objectives and targets whilst driving continuous improvement requirements within the team.
• Support new product introductions and packaging improvement activities.
• Ensure safe and effective working practices of line team.
• Ensure direct reports are effectively trained and adhere to all procedures required for their role.
• Effectively organise and drive a team of operators to efficiently run the line.
• Identify issues with equipment/components that affect running performance and support their resolution.
• Clear and effective communication of line performance and fixes via daily meetings, KPI reports and emails.
• Expert in operation of the line, including minor troubleshooting.
• Effective teamwork with support departments, coordinating quality and/or engineering support when required.
• Monitor the capability and performance of direct reports, responsible for first line informal discipline where required.
